Self-sustaining, independent living in the community
New Heights Ventures' Independent Living Programs (ILS) provide services to adults with developmental disabilities. We offer the functional skills training necessary to secure a self-sustaining, independent living situation in the community and provide the support necessary to maintain those skills if needed. Persons served then typically live alone or with roommates in their own homes or apartments.
Our ILS provide or coordinate support services and aids for individuals in independent living settings. We focus on functional skills training for adults who have acquired basic self-help skills as well as for those who do not possess basic self-help skills due to their physical disabilities.
