Olga Torrez is the scheduling coordinator for New Heights Ventures, Inc., and integral part of making what we do each day possible! A schedule is like a house of cards, if one part is removed, the rest come tumbling down and no one knows that better than Olga, and the scheduling team. The department moves mountains to address our persons served needs and the work life balance of all our team members.
Olga joined NHV almost 4 years ago for an Administrative Position, and like so many of our dedicated and loyal team members she was trained, developed, and promoted from within. Prior to joining the NHV team, Olga had an exciting career as an administrative professional not only locally, but also had the opportunity to work for Homeland Security. Even though she enjoyed working for Homeland, she couldn’t stay away from Santa Maria and found her new family here at New Heights Ventures.
Olga’s favorite part of being here at NHV is the team environment and the persons served. Given her dedication to the team, persons served, and the greater community it is so easy to see how Olga creates lasting relationships with all those she encounters. She is a great leader, but also a natural team player, and cheerleader that so often can be heard encouraging and supporting those around her. Olga can be depended on without question not only in her position as Staffing Coordinator, but also as the company “plant saver.” Olga regularly has a plant hospital in her office for all of us that do not possess green thumbs.
When Olga is not working magic on our company schedule, she is enjoying walks with her children and her dog, or watching her Crime shows on Identification Discovery. Her family loves to travel and will often be out of town as soon as the weekend starts. They can be found anywhere from theme parks, visiting friends, or making sure the Dodgers are winning!
